Charitable Bequest

You can support the mission of The OSS Society and keep the legacy of General Donovan and his glorious amateurs alive for future generations of Americans by leaving a charitable bequest in your will. If you are using a living trust, you may also leave a bequest in your trust. This type of gift is very simple to arrange.

When you leave a gift to The OSS Society in your will or trust, you have full access to your money for as long as you live. Your gift goes to The OSS Society only if you do not need it during your lifetime.

You can donate many types of assets with a specific bequest, including cash, bank accounts, real estate, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and personal property. You may also leave a certain fixed percentage of your estate as a percentage bequest.

Another strategy is to use a residual bequest to make a gift of whatever is left after you have taken care of your relatives.

You will need to visit a lawyer to have your bequest added to your will of living trust. The legal fee is usually very modest, and your lawyer will make sure you have all of the other documents you need, including a living will and a durable power of attorney.

If you have recently had your will or trust drafted, your lawyer can easily add an amendment, called a codicil, stating your bequest to The OSS Society.

To name The OSS Society in your will, please provide your attorney with our enclosed bequest instruction sheet which provides our correct legal name and address. Once you have made your charitable bequest arrangement, please let us know about it.

As a result of your generosity, you can rest assured that Americans will never forget the heroic contributions made by OSS, General Donovan and his glorious amateurs to preserving our freedom.
